One year ago this morning, this is what I found in my dad's yard. He was attending the state fair, so I was sort of watching his place while he was away... Seems a new neighbor had moved in down the road and had thrown a house warming party. Sometime in the night he had decided it would be wise to find a place to turn his truck around so he wouldn't have to do it with a hangover. Mind you, he had never been up this road before ... it was sometime after midnight ... there was dew on the grass ... and he was drunk. Near as I could tell he tried to back the trailer through a fence first, then decided he'd get over a little more and try again ... then got the truck stuck in the wet grass and .... rubbed the drivers on the trailer plate long enough they caught on fire .... and the rest is history. No more truck, no more CDL, he might be getting a drivers licence sometime in the not too distant future -- not sure ... he now works at a packing plant. Prolly should have tried his luck with a hangover in the daylight. Hindsight is a bitch. Attachments:

I think the ONLY thing salvaged was a few gallons of diesel out of one of the tanks.
The REST had to be sold for scrap.

Insurance company did pay double time for cleanup on a Sunday though. I went to school with the guy that owns the local semi wrecker and he asked if I'd bring my skidsteer to help him clean up so he didn't have to bring his. Didn't come out too bad on that, other than it was hot, filthy work.

Or a binder?
Or even better.... a ... *puke*.. Allis Chalmers.
