I have a droid phone and was wondering if there is an easy way to transfer a file from my computer to the phone. I keep a current tab of grain contracts in a Word Doc. on computer and would also like to have it on phone if possible to be able to look at when out of office.

Email the document to yourself and open it on the phone.

Well I thought that should work but what about bluetoothing it. They tell me it is faster than email. Can I just hook it up to computer and do it that way also. Thaks McCartman.

Bluetooth might work as long as your computer has it. It has been my experience that most smartphones won't link too well via Bluetooth though. Using a USB cable is another way, but that would be slower than email in my opinion.

I know this won't sit well but I'm fairly slow on computers in general and slower yet trying to work my 'droid.
I need to transfer a lot of files so I use Google Documents, then download the ones I actually need on my phone and can search Doc's for the rest.

Here is what I did and it worked well. First sent an email to myself and although it sent it for some reason it didnt receive it. So next plugged phone into computer and did a file transfer and 20-30 seconds later it was a done deal. Moved the file to sd storage and all is well. Thanks for the help McCartman.

Bluetooth works like a dream for me, doesn't matter which way.

I run Carbonite as an offsite backup. There is a way to gain access to your files from the Carbonite site using a Carbonite mobile app and veiw them on your Droid. Works like a charm. ;D
