Bootcamp is a utility that is included on every Mac since they switched to Intel processors that allows you to install Windows easily on a separate partition on the internal hard drive. It basically sets the Mac up to make it work with Windows. Once the process is complete, you have the option each time you boot the Mac to boot into Mac OS or Windows.
Bootcamp is just one way of doing it. Parallels or Fusion will let you run Windows and Mac OS at the same time - and applications from both operating systems at the same time - without having to reboot to switch OS's.
