I don't know what that stupid s.o.b. was smoking that decided to put those "oh shit" handles in that 09 Ford of mine but I'd like to take a club to him. They now have a new nickname. Referred to as "cherry poppers" because all they are good for is knocking the cherry off of cigarettes when you go to flip ashes out the window.
I"m wanting to know if anyone makes a kit to buy that so when you remove the handles, theres some sort of rubber or plastic you can put back in place in the side cowl so it doesn't have the two gaping square holes where the handles previously were bolted to the cab.
Any ideas? The miserable damn things are coming off by this next weekend. I have had it with those Cherry Poppers. If I have to make something to put in place so it doesn't look like hell so be it but I don't have the first clue how to search for something like that in an aftermarket kit. Thought maybe someone on here might know. I can't be the only guy in the world that thinks they are absolutely the most ridiculous place ford could of placed them.
Thanks

Wait until you jump in when a cloud buster runs you to the truck and you smack your head on one.

Rich on my 02 I installed one on drivers side. But back then they were not stock, so the plug was there. I would contact Ford and see if they are available.

"cherry poppers"?? Just had a mental flash of some kid out on a date with your pickup. Didn't think there would be any need for you to have one for the women you hang out with. Then you go and screw it up by talking cigs. Put a cuff in those overall legs. That is where you need to deposit the ashes durng these dry years.

No luck on the Ford Site Bristol... Same no luck calling ford dealership and same no luck calling a custom restoration shop local. Finally got pointed to this direction www.xibitcustoms.com/main.html and going to pay these guys a lil visit next time in town. You ever dealt with them before Wheatfarmer? They are in your neighborhood.

all I have done is bought radios for the tractors there as they are about as low priced as anybody for basic am/fm radios. They seem to be willing to help a person as best they can.

I think you should just give that truck to your old budrow SMASH. It would feel right at home here, with its older brother, Seriously, I was looking at mine today. Wonder if you could use the plugs in the handle to cover the holes. Might need some glue.

Wonder if you could use the plugs in the handle to cover the holes. Might need some glue. Or just scotch tape the cardboard I cut out of a bud light box over the holes. Would that be redneck enough to earn a plaque or certificate from my brethren? LOL I got the windshield fixed btw Smash... Kids Dads Insurance is going to pay for it. Lil over 360 bucks to have that replaced.
