I had a 04 chevy 2500 hd 4x4 worked out of it for several years. I loved it! it would pull anything couldnt get it stuck and was just a dang good pickup. I sold it and got a 08 chevy 2500 crew cab z71. Im thoroughly disapointed. It gets stuck in the smallest puddle feels gutless, and will high center on a red ant bed. The thing that annoys me most I think is when your in mud trying to rock to get a little momentum and floor it that dang traction control just kills any momentum you had. I have always been a chevy/gmc guy and will continue to be but im ready to get rid of it and go back to the last body style and get a real pickup. If yall have suggestions Ide love to hear them!

My 06 Trail Blazer is moderated just like that. Only small hope is to get it into low range, of course by the time it decides to do that it is time to call for help, cause youre going to need it.

I've called several dealers and the traction control can not be disabled by a dealer.
I dislike my '09 for this reason.
You can disable the traction control and stabilitrak (sp?) however...push the traction control button just once disables it to give you full power, push and hold it till the msg thing tells you and it'll disable both the trac control and stabilitrak...giving YOU full control over YOUR truck.
The traction control keeps you from spinning the tires, the 'stabilitrak' keeps you from fish tailing.
I hate it, without pushing buttons you can't even spin donuts on ice with it and you're stuck before you remember to push the button.
I want my '01 back, best truck GM made in recent history...IMHO.

Mine doesnt have a button like my 09 half ton does. I think it has traction control but theres no way to turn it off. Im just very disapointed. Supposedly the 11s had some big changes can anyone confirm this?

Find someone with EFI Live to disable it. I did that to my 07 and it made a whole new truck out of it. Still rather drive my 02 dmax!

Traction control,, boy would I like to put my foot in the ass of the genius that thought that up. Had it on my last truck, and hated it, and now have it on my new Ford, and still hate it. But I can switch it off on the Ford, and it comes back on when you shut the truck off and restart. First experience got me buried in mud and I was one pissed off Indian.

If yall have suggestions Ide love to hear them! Buy a Ford. I was a die hard bowtie man till 88 when they came up with that flipping retarded drop down frame body style. I figured now as jacked up as they had them they couldn't get hung as easily on a cow terd as before. Apparently I was wrong. The only trucks worth a duck on the road have Ovals. Red and Blue.

I bought a new Ford F250 Tri-Flex Fuel Truck Go figure it runs on either hydrogen, gasoline, or E85. I returned to the dealer yesterday Because I couldn't get the radio to work. The service technician explained that the radio was voice activated.
'Nelson,' the technician said to the radio. The radio replied, 'Ricky or Willie?'
'Willie!' he continued and 'On The Road Again' Came from the speakers.
Then he said, 'Ray Charles!', and in an instant 'Georgia On My Mind' replaced Willie Nelson.
I drove away happy, and for the next few days, Every time I'd say, 'Beethoven,' I'd get beautiful classical music, and if I said, 'Beatles,' I'd get one of their awesome songs.
Yesterday, some guy ran a red light And nearly creamed my new truck, But I swerved in time to avoid him.
I yelled, 'Stupid Idiot!' Immediately the radio responded with,
Ladies and gentlemen, The President of The United States
Darn I love this truck....

I have an 01 chev 3/4 ton 4x4 thast has over 300,000 miles and looks like hell, but it never falters. Did have to put in a new motor and front wheel assembly because one of my ex-employees thought it would go through a creek. got it stuck and burned up the motor trying to get it out.
