Old lady and I are going to look over a 7200 12-30 suck planter tommrow. Mostly, I just want the day off and what better way to spend it than looking at machinery? I understand there were some issues with the 7200 front folds hitches? I have never been around a vacuum planter, have had a 7000 8 row since before I could walk. I plan to pull it with an IH 5088 that has only 2 remotes, though I can add one if necessary.
Thanks.

Hotrod JD vac planter will do a great job of planting corn if you put precision e set system in it. I'm not familar with the 7200 hose set up but would think there are different valves on the planter that might cut back on the number of remotes you need. I have a 1760 and it came with 9 hoses and that will make you stand back and take a look when you have 3 remotes 1 is a case drain for the vac motor and I uncouple one set to fold.

You have to have one hole boxes to put esets on. If the planter is an old one with two holes you will need to get different. boxes. The hitch the same as 7000. Check for welds and cracks. Is it a flex.
