Glow I subscribe to a couple different market advisors and they each see the market differently. I f you followed the advice of 4 grain Xperts and sold the crop when they advised, you would have sold too little too much too late too soon for too little, or you would have areally big bins full of corn or beans waiting for that right moment. In my opinion, make up your own mind and if the price is profitable sell small amounts thru out the selling season. Paste and printing Doanes without personalizing it by including your own opinions is a waste of time thats why nobody reads your chit. in marketing

Okay bent, my intent was using Doanes as a conversation starter. But either all the good traders are still on AW (about all that AW still has going for itself) or AAF folks are shy??
Now, our local group of wise old ones met this morning. (We meet about 6 times a year for breakfast, Dutch treat, and trade observations, take a shot at what may be trending, etc.)
Our thoughts = watch this Argentine drought. If it persists, bullish corn but upward movement limited because Argentina corn production significance is what it is.
Oil, could go to $120. Iran is apparently allowed to cause market jitters because Failbama lacks balls to swat them hard. Diesel prices, already unpleasant will get worse.
Fertilizer = N coming down some. P and K....those bastards got us where they want us even though grain prices dropped well off their highs.
Soybeans - ROTFLMAO, why grow them? The futures price is a joke. (Yeah, I'll plant maybe 15-20 acres for rotation bennies but I'm nuts to do so.) If S. America comes through with their bean crops, fugeddabout it. Our profit margins will be tight on corn but grow corn.
Delayed planting is the next chance for upward moves if that occurs. The USDA will probably frick us over in their Jan. comic book report again.
There, the above advice and 90 cents will buy you all a cup of coffee. Take any marketing advice at your own risk. Close cover before striking these matches.
I welcome any and all opposing view, plus justifying your positions.
And Bent, I still read your chit.
