The main blend of meat in a gyro near as I understand it is Lamb and Beef.
I've had one at the St Louis Apple Pie "missed the chance to knock the shit outta a couple asshats" get-together. It was damn messy to eat but didn't taste to bad. Still ain't figured out what ethnicity that couple was running it.. I really think they were Greek but not 100 percent. Had a helluva time understanding what they were saying when talking. Talk faster then the micro mini machine ad sales guy from the 80's.

At least you guys haven't had your hog checkoff dollars pissed away for years.
Any R-Calfers on here? I am R-Calf, but only slightly more proud of that than being a registered Republican. We need a third choice both as beef producers and in our political parties.

We need a third choice both as beef producers and in our political parties. I haven't kept up my memberships, but in the past I have supported both R-CALF and USCA. Don't like the way the powers that be at R-CALF treated Chuck Kiker and the other guys who were booted out and then formed USCA. Kinda about the same deal as NAT and AAF.

What has upset me with every farm group I belong to or have ever belonged to is their wimpy opposition to or in most cases outright support of the NBAF lab in Manhattan Kansas. If ever there were a more hair brained idea in the entire world than putting a lab working on devastating livestock diseases square in the middle of the United States AND in tornado alley I don't know what it would be. Not only did we not fight it in Kansas, we actually wanted it. All the livestock groups ought to be up in arms, but we are far too stupid for that. Just hang a Powercat on your gate, it will ward of infection in case of an accident.

Well I heard about 3 beef ads today on the radio. Two of them were within about 3 minutes of each other and were the same ad. I liked the ad though and is the actor that someone mentioned above that they didnt like doing the ad. I think he is good and he does not have to sell folks like us because we are already buyers. He has to appeal to the other folks and I think he will.
