Guys, I'm seeing a few wishing to create what very well could be the "Go To" marketing forum on the entire 'net . I'll leave the mechanics of that up to you all. At best, all I could offer in information is local trends in grain movement .
So, that leads to the question . Is there anything I can do within the parameters of my job here to help you out in your endeavors ?

Ray Jenkens used to post on AgTalk. Is he any good? If so can he get here? IMO if you could get the marketing thing going you will have all the traffic you can handle. Playing is fun but business comes first.

Playing is fun but business comes first. Ray is good. He's got his hands full on the job most of the time, but it wouldn't hurt to see if he's interested. I've given my observations, based on gut feel, reading charts, and listening to my sources in the trade. I hope others will chime in with opinions that I hope don't agree with mine so we have something to think about and debate.

I can't do anything on Agtalk, it seems I was bad enough to be IP banned . Maybe one of our members is friends with him and can convince him to give us a try .

"Playing is fun but business comes first. "
I'll second that. I like blu's charts and his take on the situation. There's a couple guys on other discussion lists that I cherry pick some gems from. I even look at some S. America bloggers on their crop progress. Let's all see what we can do to get some marketing discussion increased on AAF.........

If I remember correctly doesn't Ray put out a daily or weekly comment? I would like it if someone could post the weekly crop progress reports.

I am not doing anything in the markets under this admin but realize the need for food around the world and our pissing money away to finance it for others. Ken Morrison is a very good technician and had formerly worked for Cargill and has a real grasp of the world markets and headed their China post. I have not talked with Ken for several months but an extremely good technician. He provides a free trial for his service, and if you like what you see -- you can subscribe. These markets are so complex with the infusion of hedge funds -- they may often defy our perceived logic or knowledge. I like Ken as believes in ag and vitally interested more than just the markets. I have cautioned all the ships on the bottom of the oceans and seas used charts. It is not a safeguard but a barometer. Two posters ran him from posting on Agweb for harrassment. He thought I do not need this. I may be accused of being a shill but appreciate his intelligence. I am proud of Memphis as Jimmy Butler was the person who ran the beans up in 1954 and then the big boys squelched him. Williard Sparks a main participant in 72-73 runup and knew both of them. We are the true resource of what the world needs fresh water and food. We give it away too cheaply too often due to government policy.
