Ya think we can help it out any with corn that looks like this. Rich was by Saturday and after observing the corn down I-35 just inside Oklahoma, inquired if this was as tall as Oklahoma corn gets. Nealy all if it ran out of moisture back in June, never grew any taller, most failed to pollinate in the heat, and quite a bit started toppling before tassle set, because it was so dry it never set brace roots. Pic is of a pretty representative ear, some had a few yellow kernals on them. I wonder what the adjuster will do with those. Those guys can get a dang decent yield for their adustment out of the crappiest looking fields.

So will you actually try to harvest that or just leave it for dead?

There is nothing there, most ears have atrophied to nothing. A berry or two on an ear here or there. Many have already ensiled their adjusted crops or baled them, Nitrates were off the chart. Mine are still standing. I have no four legged animals, 'cept a cat, and no hay equipment either. I'll leave it for mulch cover, and go back to wheat on all acres this fall if it ever rains again, and it isn't looking too promising right now for 40 to 60 days out.

Just jerking your chain. Been there, done that and it ain't fun.
Probably would make some cow feed but you would have to be careful with nitrates.
