I primarily do alfalfa, but I'm thinking in the next couple of years planting 25 acres of barley to combine and then go back to alfalfa. How long can I store the barley? I feed out about 7 tons a year. From what I have read on the net the yield is between 40-60 bushels per acre, not really sure what the yield would be here in Wyoming. I have two butler grain bins here on the farm, 14' diameter by 8' high with a solid floor. Without a pit, how do I empty the bin?
