ya, I don't care about that. We want to see the museums and want to get the hell outta dodge. Maybe it's warmer there than here, too.

Well, I booked the trip about an hour ago.... The deal is I took all my other kids on trips individually, just me and them, except the twins, they went together.....when it was Eric's turn, he said he was scared to fly and I didn't wanna drive so we skipped over him. Our family hasn't been on a family vacation since 1993. Someone always has to stay home or at least that's what we think because it's just too much of a risk to not have any family member home watching over stuff. So, Eric is 29 now and got married last Sept, and his wife doesn't like museums and stuff like that but I know he does so she said go ahead, take him somewhere that I will never want to go visit so we chose DC. This trip is on my bucket list. But I feel guilty as all hell leaving my husband back here with no backup, just him and the Mexican who milks. It is risky as no one else knows how to feed. I always think what happens if he gets hurt or has a heart attack or something. So tomorrow he is going to the neighbor who fed & scraped here when Eric got married and see if he can be on call for those days we are gone. That will make me feel a whole lot better. My oldest daughter and her husband and kids can come for a few days to make sure everything is alright and my youngest daughter can come on the last day. The twins will be taking finals at UW-Madison. We plan on seeing all the free stuff like the Smithsonian and the war memorials, maybe the Botanical Gardens. John, we actually thought about South Carolina but I didn't know if we could find stuff to do for 5 days. I know we won't get bored in DC. Hope the weather is warmer than here. Had to stoke up the furnace again tonite.
