A rather strange post on Agweb prompts me to write this. A poster lost his dad. I'm pretty sure his dad was not real young as I think the poster is middle-aged, but it doesn't matter. The poster was mad at the world because it kept spinning even though his dad died. He was also mad at God "for picking away at his dad long enough so that he finally got him", or something like that.
Kinda weird post, like I say. Of course all his buds over there told him about God's love for him and to be glad that his dad is in a better place.
Got me thinking about God and the cycle of life. I lost my parents 23 and 21 years ago, but was never mad at God or mad at the world for that happening. Parents are supposed to die before their children. That is the natural life cycle.

I think everyone grieves differently. I don't think this mans reaction is that uncommon, but the anger feelings should pass in time.

Mom's been gone 23 years in June. Dad 16 yrs this month. The last years for both of them included many health problems. They both got along as well as they could for as long as they could. It would have been selfish of me to want to prolong their suffering in this life. They are both in a better place now, and when my time comes, I will join them. Got my funeral pre-paid and headstone being installed shortly too! That was my $7K Christmas gift to myself!

Think I have those that care convinced to do it my way when the END arrives.....no embalming , taken straight to crematorium , no service and no cemetery . Want my ashes spread on corn field beside our house.....corn always seems to be alittle short of something !!! Money will be set aside for " Party " at the local bar. Death Board......you know , pictures taken at various times and family events will be on display !!! That is my wish....guess I will never know if it comes true . John
