Aspartame, which is really a poison, is about to be put in milk and not be labeled. Apparently dairy farmers figure they need something to improve the taste of milk, and I suppose poisoning the customer at the same time seems to be the way to go in there minds. This should be as big a fiasco as when they put BST into milk. Now milk without BST is labeled because no one would buy the other stuff. I actually think people in the dairy industry are born stupid. Glad I don't drink milk and avoid all dairy products. And no, I don't drink pop with aspartame in either. www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/03/07/aspartame-milk_n_2828359.html

Shame on you for reading the HP. I don't care to eat baby sheep but at least I'm not on here spreading lies about it.

Well, everyone knows dairy farmers are greedy and will do anything for a buck, so, yes, it's possible they would do something like this. As I said, I quit buying dairy a while back, but I sure hope you are enjoying the $7.50 corn, I sure am. And what do you mean you don't spread lies about sheep? Would you like to be reminded of one you tried to spread?

I said 2 things: I said "sheep are born looking for a place to die" and I said " A sick sheep is a dead sheep".
So what? Did that make people eat less baby sheep? I don't eat sheep because I can't get that picture of that little lamb out of my head when it's on the grill. The same reason I don't eat baby cows. But I don't care if others eat them and I don't spread lies about how bad they are for you.
As far as the $7.50 corn goes, I could care less. We raised our own corn this year.
I wouldn't brag about being a federal government worker and then dis the President the way you do. I believe working for the USPS makes you a union member, too. President Obama is going to protect the USPS' ability to run itself into the ground. I'm not 100% sure of his stance on it, but I know Congress is willing to let the USPS spend beyond its means.
You are a big hypocrite. Gov't employee/union member and yet you slam the government every chance you get.

Well, everyone knows dairy farmers are greedy and will do anything for a buck, I don't usually take sides in the pissing matches that start on other boards, and Lord knows this site has been the AgWeb dumping ground for a long time, so I've had lots of opportunity. I grain farm, but I grew up on a dairy. When my father passed in 1972 we had hogs, dairy, and beef on the farm.....................you can't believe how fast the dairy cows left. I knew what dairy farming involved. I've enjoyed the profits that we have made grain farming the past few years. That said, other farmers with livestock are the only ones I've felt bad for......they are our market, and if we cut their throats we cut our own at the same time. You saying that dairy farmers are greedy, is the dumbest thing I've read in a long time. As for your aspartame story....................what I get is they want to use it in flavored (strawberry, blueberry, etc.) milk to lower the calorie level, just like a diet soda, and still call it milk...........................not in just a gallon of good old white milk. I'd say this is a fight between the "powers that be" and the dairy processor....not the farmer So congrats, Sheep Boy, for the dumbest post of the year. Oh and P.S. I drink enough milk in a year to sink a small ship

Funny how that broad can label everyone's stuff as wrong, greedy, inept, etc, but when you call her on it, then she's OK. I will give NAT credit for knowing who to ban. The last couple have been spot on.

Sheep Herder, (see I use your real name, I'm not into name calling, it shows how low you can go) you are such a hypocrite. You act all nicey-nicey over on Double-Standard Talk, but you come HERE to say what's REALLY on your mind. If you said that over there, you'd get BANNED FOR LIFE. You are no better than anyone who got banned.

Well said Mark. I drink 2% milk too and eat cheese and yogurt. Regardless, I will not buy flavored milk, with or without aspartame.
IMO, it boils down to dairy farmers who promote aspartame in flavored milk and corn farmers who promote HFCS in soda pop are the same thing. Not saying anything is wrong with either. Each commodity group is promoting their own respective products.
The consumer should be allowed to purchase whatever products they desire with their own money. Let the market decide.
