bentover, FWIW, I agree 100% with you and dr.
100%.
Pasteurization was invented and implemented for good reason. We stopped drinking raw milk when we had our first Johne's positive cow. It thoroughly grossed me out and I especially didn't want to subject our KIDS to raw milk after that.

I don't have a dog in this fight, as we just buy 2% milk in town.
That said, I did grow up on milk right out of the bulk tank and got a long fine.

Like Mark i grew up on raw milk out of the tank till we got out of dairy in 98 which would've made me 29 years old . Guess myself and countless other dairy families dodged a bullet that we didn't get sick . Tell me what's the diff between breast milk and raw milk ? I think most of the kids these days have more allergies and sickness because they arn't subject to more germs early on in life . my .02

nailwhacker, you and your family got away with it because you were exposed to the same diseases that your cows were.
But you take that same raw milk and give it to someone who is not exposed to those same pathogens, they might get sick. If someone gets sick on raw milk, it's a black eye to the dairy industry.
