Thinking of spray foaming my shed. Good, Bad??? Roughly 1500 SqFt. Tin roof that has small leaks. Hoping to seal leaks. And help insulate the building (shop).

They got done around 10:30 PM. Had my IR 125,000 heater running. was nice in there. moved thermometer around in shop, all though far end felt cooler it was only a few degree's cooler. Can't wait to build a fire. So far I'm happy.
Hilbilly, will the foam turn yellow? it's white now?

Did you use open or closed cell ? I don't recomend spraying undersides of roofs directly as it holds moisture which in turn dry rots your wood. Had to replace some sheeting on a roof (wind damage) and they had sprayed over the strapping directly to the steel which enclosed everything and it was beyond repair . He was going to put up a new shop but died before getting started. Did you leave the bottom of the strapping exposed so the wood could "breathe" ?

Smash mine hasnt stayed all white, I really like it. I have often wondered what I will do if I have to replace roof, but I think I will just nail perlins on top of old metal and just resheet on top of it. Mine wasnt icynene, but the other kind. (can't think of name right now.) I think you will really like it.

I've had several people tell me that is cheaper to put tin on the bottom of the trusses and use blow in insulation
