The good is they were Deeres own concept not stolen from other companies and had enough bug's that they should be reasonable in price. The bad is run side by side of any popular skid loader of same size and operation's you would know the differance in short how poor they are. The series 2 would be better but not by much. My opinion is just that as I used them on a dairy just as Demo's and they absolutley wouldn't work for our daily use for the required job's we needed. As I switched to crop farming now and even the new Deeres won't work to our demand's. My list Is older NH #1 these new NH Case hybrid junk. Cat #2 even though I have never drove one have good review's. #3 Bobcat, #4 Case older ones also. #5Gehl is decent depending on control layout. I like the look's and feel of the Kubota but they are too new to know if they are reliable and then you can stick me in a Deere just because Skid Loader's are remarkable machines in reducing labor intensive job's.

I have a 260 deere. I like it pretty much. It has a longer wheel base than some so it rides better an lifts more for the same weight machine. It also isn't as maneuverable. One thing I don't like is the park lock blows a fuse on occasion. Visibility out the back is poor also.
