How can you get rid of sparrows in a barn and out buildings. There is feed in the barn they are eating and they are crapping all over everything. Is there anything they will eat to kill them?

There is a poison that you can put on rafters , they soak it in through their feet , other than that a pan of Gold Maldrin mixed with a little feed and set where they might target it but the animals that are supposed to be there can't eat will work on them .
A pellet gun and flashlight provides the most entertainment though

Didnt they stop throwing that at weddings because it swelled and killed birds?

Rice won't swell and kill birds, if it did there wouldn't be any birds in rice country . But, it's easier for the churches to say that than to say it's a pain to sweep off a sidewalk .

The chemical that they can absorb through their feet is Tiguvon (I think that's how it's spelled) It's a chemical used on swine--I forget what for. You can buy "Rid-A-Bird" perch solution, which I believe is the same chemical, but probably much more expensive. It is Fenthion for the active ingredient. The bird scare eyes don't work very well and I never had much luck with the perch's with the chemical either. Best luck I had was with the Avitrol, mixed with a little cracked corn. Start them out on just the grain first and then add some Avitrol. Says it's a repellant but it kills them.
