2001 Ford F250. Audible alarm that "dings" continuously while the driver door is open, is marked below in the picture inside the red circle. How does one completely disable it? I was tempted to eliminate it from the circuit board but I am not certain that it doesn't complete another circuit somehow or is part of another function electronically on that pickup that I would hinder. Temporarily it is taped up to muffle the noise but I would like to eliminate it entirely if possible. Someone done this before? Thanks. Attachments:

This is why I asked if anyone else had done this.
All you posted was a link to someone unhooking a wire.
I want to know about taking this alarm out. I apoglogize for not being a bit more clear in the 1st post.

Had one disabled on a 98 f350 but lost the light when the door opens. How many times you get out ina day & have to listen to that damn thing. It was worth losing the light You can always add a switch to the wire in case you need the light during the night.

Search some more because I had one place that mentioned removing the alarm by unsoldering the piece. That alarm is used for all notification warnings, so removing it will lose the seat belt alarm and probably any dash light warnings. I don't know the benefit of removing is unless you want to use it somewhere else.
