I have a 7100 jd planter and 9500 combine and am looking into getting a yeild monitor. I would like something that can show my planter pops and alos run row shut offs in the future. I dont need it for rate control for spraying or fert. Just starting to look into monitors and was wondering what others are using and your likes/dislikes are. TIA

I use AgLeader Insight. Not sure if it will show planter pop, but it can shut rows off. I program in Hybrids when I plant. Come harvest it knows were xyz, 123, pdq, are at in the field.

On our last Kinze planter, I ran the AGLeader Insight. I used it as my planter monitor, autosteer on the tractor, and like smash said if you program your hybrids, it will do variety tracking. In the fall the Insight doubled up as the yield monitor in the combine. Then with variety tracking, it would track the hybrids as you harvested.

I went away from the Insight, when we went to a 7010 combine, which used the CIH 600 monitor. I will say that the INsight was and still well ahead of CIH's system.

I have an Insight in dads combine and a Precision 20/20 monitor on my Kinze. I originally bought the Insight to use for yield monitor as well as planter monitor, but I like the way the PP monitor reads out better. I have a great stand and am very happy with it. Anyways.... precision is suppose to be converting the planter monitors to yield monitoring capabilities for the 13 harvest..... but the were bought out by monsanto is what I heard, so I don't know if that has changed....
