What's the going price on a small square bale of alfalfa that is beetle free. High quality 4th cutting from year ago that is going to be fed to horses.

New crop at a small local auction is running between $5.50 and $8. More grass toward the lower end, alfalfa toward the top. For last years crop, personally, I'd knock a buck a bale off that, at least.

I'm selling, not buying... so there is not going to be any discount because it's a year old. There's going to be a premium price on it since it's mine and the local rodeo is going.
