Really bringing up the rear this year.....most BTO's are done with 3rd cut alfalfa. Most of mine goes to horse people and they are really happy that some one is still fooling around with small squares. If the rain comes , should get one more cut. John

Hey cousin....I had to wait for the grass to grow before I could cut it !!!!!
cityguy- Ken.... Been watching your dfing around deal.....most of your winners would be called Top Farmers around here !!!! We have perfected DFA to a science in this area . We don't need a little dry weather to give us an excuse to Dfa , it just comes natural here in Wis. John

Hey Special K , how does your crops look up there , sounds like ole cousinit is be'n a waterhog ! Stil no rain here , had a 70% shot at it yesterday BUT there is a 30 % today and they put us under a T-storm watch for now , big azz thunderheads building just to the west of us at 3:58 pm . Neighbor was on the East side of Indy on 465 about a hour ago and got in to golfball size hail . Well hope your stuff is OK

Right Ken.....get those Fords out of the weather !! If I remember right they have some kind of attraction to lightning !! Would be nice to get good gentle rain without all the sound and fury.
Corn and beans generally look pretty good here. Too early to tell how pollination and pod set are doing.Just finished up swathing my son's oats....last field was 20 acre patch that I'm thinking will do 85 - 90 bu. per acre.....a little .10 rain on the last trip down the field gave me a cold shower I could have done without. Be safe !! John

cityguy, our crops look pretty good. but we can't get in the fields to cut our new seeding that was planted May 23 (due to cut 60 days after planting) since July 23 because have received about 9" of rain in the last 2 weeks. custom guy was busy cutting wheat in mid July.
Sorry to hear about your bad crops in Indiana.
