Been thinking about just keeping one weight of oil on hand for the tractors. The old 4020 has almost 10K hours on it, and been running 30 wt. oil in it since buying it in the mid 80's ... was told that was what was run in it before we bought it.
Anything gonna make me unhappy if I switch it to 15w40 so I can have one less thing to keep track of?

I wouldn't see why it would make a difference as long as all the alphabet letters are there in the oil you use .

Not much of an oil expert. I would talk to some of the local mechanics to see what they think.......may be until you get the answer you want. ;D

Use Delo or Rotella 15W40 in all the farm motors. So far so good, now if it didn't cost so much.
