Been trying=key word, trying to get nitrogen out on corn, started today, ran one field with CPS dribble rig, got done and was 20 gallons off my rate, I forgot the %^&*( orfices in half the lines. Stupid me thought the pump would meter it all, apparently that was not the case. Now I get to go to CPS in the morning and get the rest of the orfices and rerun my one field. I swear, some things are really worth hiring done.

Usually when I hire something done it just gets screwed up. The exception is when marland vacs the bins. He does a good job.

Well, just to top it off today, adjustment dial cracked and broke on the pump. Rats. Kinda tops it off for me.
Edit: Generally CPS here does a real good job for us, good field crew. Been tired with fighting this dribble rig however, settings I was given were not the right settings and I have been playing guessing games, had to double run one field, was shooting for 60 gallons, 38 the first time, 12 the second. Got aggressive on the next load and got 55, bumped up the pump to get 60 on the next load and somewhere along the line the adjustment dial broke and it lost rate. Ended up emptying the applicator tank with my transfer pump back into the nurse tank, I reckon I'll pull this thing back to Sylvester Monday and figure out where to go from there, probably either have to get them to come out and finish or else use the 1100 on their other dribble rig, which I would rather not do given the 1100 is a bit big to get down the rows, but it is the only tractor with dual remotes. Plus I need to cut hay Monday, spray hayfields, start irrigation back up, not enough hours lately.

Had to reapply 120 acres of nh3 this year, got a different tractor that pulls the bars easier and faster, kept bumping the rate. Had to run about 15 more pounds of pressure this year. There will be a hiniker system on the bar next year.

Well they came out and fixed it this morning, just in time for me to blow a fert line and have to go back to town and get another line from them, finished this afternoon. OH HAPPY DAYS. Cut hay tomorrow and get the last of 1st cut done, probably put out the rest of the N next week. Corn is just ticking the front axle in spots so it is defiantly growing.
