I've no-tilled for years. I've never had any trouble getting the seed in the ground deep enough ............till this year.
Anyone else noticed this?
Would the lack of a winter (no freeze & thaw) cause this?

Whats your moisture like. Been dry enough here all the dryland is hard as a rock.

Yep hard as hell here too. Planted corn yesterday and actually thought i should hit it with the cultivator. This is in soy stubble.

I planted some conventional till last Thursday for a neighbor, Mark, and had to increase the down pressure just to get that to plant right. Went on to my no till and it planted ok there but I left it with the extra down pressure.
