I've seen more hopper bottoms moving around in the last week to ten days than I have seen in a while. Going every direction to Prestige (hogs), Peco (chickens) and to the river. I don't know if it's contracts delivering or guys trying to beat the report. Is their alot of grain moving in your area?

Grain movement "here" is just plain nuts right now . A great many farms have all their bins empty which is a result of quite a few not being filled because spot prices were good at harvest and others started shipping out in mid November due to free DP being thrown into the mix .
Quite a few of the elevators locally are zero'd out on beans and virtually empty on corn with most of the holdings being at the rail terminals .
I've been busier since the first of the year than any of the 6 years I've been in business and have actually had to turn away work this past week which usually doesn't happen until the final clean out happens in August .
I'm seriously wondering where Cargill and Solei will find beans to process come mid-summer .
