The wife wants a pool again . I hate those sheet metal commercial pools that are available , I always end up creasing them somehow . So, I was thinking about using either 24 or 27 foot bin rings and go 2 rings high . pros or cons with the plan ?

You will need supports similar to those on grain bins. You may need some way to cover seams, overlapped metal, and the top edge to prevent those nasty cuts that happen when your skin is soft from being water logged. Properly installed, it should be set in concrete to avoid needing to tar the edges.
Only cons may be the guys doing the construction.

I imagine getting in and out could be, um, painful. Maybe want to split an old garden hose to line the top edge?

Actually guys it appear pretty easy liners are available for a bin ring and all the top accesories will work to make it look like a regular steel above ground pool except with corrugated sides that won't collapse or get punctured by crap thrown by a lawnmower .
What I was more worried about was if anyone knew of a downside that the literature doesn't address like if I should coat the inside with something incase the galvanizing eats the liner . Whether a rubberized tape would work better on the round headed machine bolts than duct tape etc.

What kind of literature do you have on this? I've heard of using Harvestore sheets for pools, never heard of bin rings, don't see why it wouldn't work, that edge would be the biggest thing in my mind, but interesting. Post pics if you do it.

I don't know if I saved the link or not , I'll try to find it again . The top edge isn't really any sharper than those 20 ga or whatever they are commercial pools , just the edges are squared off more . There's been a couple of bin rings around the neighborhood but generally speaking they get smart and get out of the pool having business .

We’ve used livestock tanks made from galvanized rings set in concert for years. Just tar the joints and bolt them together.

Just get the pool with the inflatable ring. The ring floats on the water and holds the sides up. Cheap and easy. Maybe build a deck beside it to aide ingress and egress.

You can't leave them up all winter and they are too small unless you get the elliptical .

The Replex Marland. Cheaper than pool chemicals. LOL.

They frown on drinking while floating . Besides that wouldn't be enough of a pain in my butt to suit the wife .
