Has anyone done the update yet? If so, did you have any problems with apps and compatibility?

I've done it. Haven't had any problems yet. On an i-phone 4. Took about 20 minutes. Of course if you also post as bwire on nat I'm sure it will make it so you can't hear your device (at least until someone tells you how to turn up the volume).

Updated the night is was released. No problems encountered yet. I had 8 apps that that also called for an update that day. bwire bitched about his apps not working. First, he didn't update them. Second, if there were no updates available and the app didn't work with the new OS, it is not the fault of Apple. Developers have access to builds of new iOS versions MONTHS in advance of release. If the app developer doesn't get on board and update his/her app, it is not Apple's fault. I never saw anyone in my life with supposedly advanced computer skills that knew so little about how things are really done. He appears to have a lot of knowledge about old systems - but since a lot of it pre-dates my days, how am I to know if he is conning people into thinking he is a pro at that too. He seems to know a few things about Windows, but that is the limit. Troubleshooting a silenced ringer is an absolute remedial skill - "Hmmmm, is the mute switch on?". lol And if that wasn't bad enough, he posted the same rant about the same issue TWICE in a matter of about three weeks. mlkshk.com/r/54DT

He has gotten very good at cut and paste. He is also pretty good at posting links to long drawn out explanations when a short concise answer is asked for. Although I have noticed that lately he has had quite a few links that didn't work.

I don't think he knows as much as he would have everyone believe. I've seen numerous occasions where he has offered a solution to a question, then when the op ask a follow up to his solution he can't answer it. I think you hit it on the head that all he does is a google search on the question and copy and paste.
