Anyone with an 800-955 cyclo air planter that has used the acra plant notched opener discs?
How did you like them?
Email is fine if you rather that way. dieselmanrich(NOSPAM)@hotmail.com
Remove the (NOSPAM) out of the address when emailing.
Thanks.

I bet they would give the firming point its fair share of hell. Sent from beyond the universe Points are also accra-plant product to work with the openers. If I heard right the steel composition is made differently so they are hardened moreso then the Case IH's. I looked at an installed set recently. I was not impressed. I failed to see the need to improve on a, what I consider, faultless design already. Just my thoughts.

I thought IH row unts were the end all be all of notill planters? Go in the ground when nothing else would? Now my world is just upside down.
I've been notilling 30-50% of my corn acres with a max emerge for quite awhile now.... I've never needed notched blades yet, although I know they exist.

All the people that used them Rich, went broke since they had them on IH planters, don't you remember. Course I used my IH 800 for 25 yrs before I realized I went broke.

We never seen a need or place for anything other then current OEM openers. Of course, I don't farm clear across america in all conditions so maybe someone had a need.

I bet you didn't have to farm clear across America, just in one little part of SE kansas should have been enough. As dry as it is around here you don't need to worry about getting it in the ground. Just make it look like you planted something and call crop insurance.

I once saw some locals put on their hip waders and walked out in the field with 2 five gallon pails of seed. When they came back it was "planted". LOL Some time you just do what you have to.!
