Winter grazing is fixing to play out here in a few weeks, been grazing winter weeds and haybales trying to limp along my herd till I can get something started. Anyone got anything they would consider to be a good canidate relatively cheap. No issues planting here for me, will probably attempt to no till it in if I can. TIA

If your looking for something temporary I think I'd look at oats.

I'd second the oats.

I am really thinking your neighbors stash of hay would be the thing. Probably cheaper to pasture it at night though! LOL

If rye grass will grow in your area I would look into it.

What I have been grazing, oats and wild ryegrass, and a little alfalfa. Attachments:
