Getting around to mounting it, bought it last year and never used it, was going to put it on one tractor and since then I have bought another tractor I have decided to use. Anyway, couple of questions. First off, it is going on a 4030 John Deere open station with the origional 6v+6V=12V system. Either going to pull power from the starter or somewhere off the key switch to power this thing. My issue is the power to the lighbar itself is supplied through a cord to the cigarette lighter, can I cut this cord and splice it to a 12V source or will I need to replace my cigarette lighter as it is rusted solid. Also, if I can cut the cord, am I only supplying power or will I need to hook up a ground as well. Trying to sort this out before I spray burndown. Worst comes to worst I will order a couple of cigarette outlets from NAPA and replace the tractor outlet, might be simpler IDK, just dont want to make a $$$ mistake.

Should be no problem cutting an hooking up to the switch or battery. Just make sure you hook the + to the + 12v. I can't remember if the center of the lighter is the +, I believe it is but I would put a meter on the center of a lighter outlet to make sure.

Yes, the center is the positive terminal.
I'm sure you will need to supply a ground as well as the positive to the light bar too.

Well, my plan is to take a couple of two wire connectors to run my power with, one for the "pod" and the other one for the lightbar itself, and also put another end on the cigarette adaptor so I can convert it back if I want to, moving it around and such.

Got the thing hooked up today. For six dollars and a bit of change, I put a new lighter on my tractor to use for the lightbar power. Now I have the issue that the lightbar (Lecia MiniMOJO) does not like a curve steeper than 90 degrees, wants to cut out at 90. We aint got many fields with curves less than 90. Otherwise seems to work, just might be a steeper learning curve then I thought.

Downloaded the updates onto it, which helped a few functions, but the damn thing still will not go around a curve. Get to the 91st degree and the thing kicks out and throws up a No UTurn message. Anyone know how to solve this. I am starting to think I should have just saved my money, frustrating to say the least.

Called tech support and there is no way around their stupid programming. Pretty reducilous it cant tell the difference between a curve and a turn. Nice otherwise, but if it cant make better than a 90 degree curve, it is useless to me. $1200 dollars pissed away, dealer said he might would meet me halfway, bless his little heart*******
At this point, I am ready to say, THE HELL WITH TECHNOLOGY!
