Hey Marland one of your ads may pay off. Found the ad at the top of the page for the egr fix. Gonna cost me about $4200 to get this done. If I do it. This is some major surgery to fix this problem. www.bulletproofdiesel.com/

If I had a good low miles 6.0 I would go ahead and do it before things fly to crap. You're either gonna spend it some day or have a pickup with a blowed up motor worth half of what it should be then be wondering what to do with it. Everything I have read about the 6.0 is they are a really good motor, the emissions crap, and also the oil cooler problem, is what messes them up. They get water in the cylinder then start blowing head gaskets and popping head bolts.

I've already had to fix it once at about 120000 miles (7k). Plan on keeping it for a while thats why i'm thinking of doing it. Guy that I talked to in Jackson, MS this is all thier pretty much doing now. He said he has never had one fail after the updates and just took an order for 15 of them that are in a company fleet.

Well the old 6.0 took another dump this afternoon and puked up a bunch of water can't wait to find out what it will cost me to fix it this time. If anyone ever has the thought of buying a Ford with the 6.0 get in touch with me first so I can drive to your house and hit you in the head with a ballpean hammer and knock some sense into you. I'm hopeing it's just the water pump but it looks like you have to dismantel the front half of the engine to get to it.

Well the old 6.0 made it about 12 miles after leaving the shop and leaving me $750 shorter before she decided to die again. No charge in the system, maybe the wife shorted out the alt when she got it to puke up the water. Funny thing is the Ford dealership was out of free cars and rented me a Dodge truck from Enterprise. This Dodge that Ford rented me may be enough for me to go back to Dodge it is a lovely truck.
