Anyone know what company makes a spike harrow to go on a field cultivator? Our old one had the spike harrow, the one I have now has the coil harrow and doesn't do nearly nice of a job.

Remlinger. They have all sorts of attachments. I bought a double roller basket from them. Seems to be built pretty good. remlingermfg.com/

kcm : On your coil tine harrow.....how many rows of teeth do you have I have coil tine on mine...4 row set up and it does good job. Rolling baskets seem to do excellent job.....may be a little higher up-keep cost over time what with bearing replacement. Boss where I feed bought a used Krause with basket set-up and has bearings fail every Spring , he is not the type of operator that would replace them all when failure starts to happen. John

It's 3 bar, on a Kent. Dad had a Glencoe with a 3 bar, and it did a nice job, but no trash clearance at all. I think in order to get more trash to flow through this the tines are farther apart.....after I posted this though I started to think maybe there is something we need to adjust that will make it work better.

Just another thought.... Mine are the long tines , just guessing...10" or maybe a foot long. Puts the mounting bar up far enought that bar does not interfere with trash moving threw. John

If you do change harrows and go with a spike. I suggest looking into something High residue. My Great Plains FC has a spike harrow they call high residue. The spikes are almost twice as long as normal spikes and it lets trash through and really does a nice job.
