JR : A question , are you using mats or sand?? Farm I feed on using thick rubber mats....just started putting in higher bedding keepers. John

kwest we use sand. I think it is the best lowest maintenance way to go. Anything I have put in the stall eventually gets ripped out by the cows. I figure over the life of the barn the sand will be the cheapest with the least amount of work.

JR : Sand is the best from what I've seen. Can present some manure handling problems but is the best for cow comfort.

Well I started early but no go as to getin anything done! Skidloader won't start this morning! It's only about 13 below out here. Can't see why she don't wanna go.
I'll bet that cityguy is prolly havin allkinda problems today to! I hear it's down to like 40 degrees in the keys. He may have to put on socks this morning! LOL

Ummm JR, here in MN we have these things called extension cords that you cam use to plug in block heaters.....you may want to go to your local farm supply store and get one. Just saying.
I agree JR, wouldn't use them if they them to me either. Have seen them in a barn, didn't like what I saw.

Boy I think that's the way to go ! I bet he's from California ! you know they have HAPPY cows out there ! probably why they have the best milk and cheese too ! What I think here is we just have some dead beat tittypullers here ! I'm just say'n if they can't eve think past there dick and plug in the loader then how the hell would they think to plug in the hearters on the water beds ?? Boy's there is just more to dairy farming than throwing out alittle hay and hopeing for the best , it's called effort something that I think thats missing here fellows ! Guess because you go out early and milk for an hour and at night that's a day's work ?? This bring 's ole cityguy to a doulbe WTF here ! There are two kind of people , there are leaders and fallowers ! so how about getting off your azzes and be leaders here like the guy with the water beds !!!!!!!!!! Sorry I'm alittle pizzy but had to put on socks this morning and now I can't get my flipflops on ! cityguy

BTW we had -10 here this am with 25 mph NE winds, now if that dont make your flip flops cold nothing will................LMAO!
