No one cure all machine, depends on what you consider verticle tillage. A true vy machine will not level as well as a high speed disc tool. These mix more residure into the soil and level ruts really nice. A Salford or turbo till will chop stalks and mix less dirt into them, some people have problems with them blow but have never been a ploblem for us. We run a salford RTS and also run a salford field cultivator. You need to demo each one and decide for yourself, everyone will have a different opinion and it is about like arguring red vs green or chevy vs ford. No one answer but everyone thinks theirs is the best.

We get along good with our landoll VT, Chops the stocks, and covers them with a little dirt. Which is what we were looking for.

I really don't think there is any one perfect VT out there I rented one last year and the thing I didn't like about it was getting a hard rain after running the tool a lot of the corn stocks washed off.
I did buy a new GP and I think if I drill be hind it in corn stalks maybe it might get some dirt over the stalks but not sure.
