If I have a 260 hp truck with 4.10 rear axle, will I be happy with 300hp and 3.42 rear end? Truck is rarely used for towing 6k lbs, other than that just normal parts getter.

I think you might find yourself a little disappointed in the performance of it, but it shouldn't do too bad...and as stated should get pretty good mileage.

Depends on your engine and transmission. What brand are we dealing with? For the most part, I prefer 3.73's in just about any GM 4x4.

well..had my eye on a left over chevy work truck, its gone already. But It had a v8 in it, and 3.42 rear axle. I usually shop for left overs when i shop for vehicles, but i guess i wait awhile longer. Not such a bad thing..the 01 dodge still runs good, and i kind of like it-except for the fact it gets all of 13 mpg highway...

that's about what the odometer and calculator show me with a ford 4.6L.
