That's why he is looking at a Duramax, doesn`t want a second rate truck. quote] So your happy to advocate him getting a 3rd rate truck as such be the chebby? ;D I ended up getting the truck bought. I have two 7.3 powerstokes so once we get some miles on the new rig I will figure out which one is the truck of choice. So far I will say the heater is nothing to brag about in the chevy compared to the ford. That's wierd. Out of all the vehicles I have been in, the heaters in the chevy trucks will absolutely roast you out. Is it not warm enough or is there no air flow? If there is no air flow check the cabin air filters, very common for being overlooked and getting clogged full.

+1 Your going to wish you'd just got another Ford Ack. Just leave the 6.0's the hell alone. That's why he is looking at a Duramax, doesn`t want a second rate truck. quote] So your happy to advocate him getting a 3rd rate truck as such be the chebby toyota? ;D There, fixed it for you. ;D And I would never advocate such a thing. I only recommend the best.

I did change the cabin filters and that doubled the airflow . They were plugged pretty bad. It feels like it doesnt have real good heat. Where does the temp usually run on those trucks? MInes running about at 170 degrees.

I usually do it after spring and after harvest. It takes a while to get up to temp. I'll stick a thermometer in the vent today and see what I come up with. Mine will flat roast you out once it gets warmed up.

Did the truck come with a winterfront?? If not, maybe go to nearest GM dealer and grab one.
The D-max I had would run about 160-170 tops in the winter unless I was pulling something and took FOREVER to get there...summer it ran 180-200.
