If you plant up and over terraces they raise out of the ground. Other than that I don't know.

Thats good to know. I was wondering about turning with the bar down and planting.

I've been pulling on of those for over 10 years now. I like mine and it crosses terraces for me just fine. You can turn a fairly sharp corner with them but..... I have also bent some openers the first year or two before I "learned" its limits
