Won't go into the boring details, but if I buy a new TV, can I convince it that it wants to be a external monitor for my '06 model HP Pavilion dv6000?
Thanks!!!

I had a reply all written that said, heck no, no HDMI, then I thought maybe I'd better look instead of assuming. Sure enough, there's an HDMI port. Silly thing only has 2 USB ports, but there's the HDMI, and three pin-type ports (round, square-ish and flat-ish) for God-knows-what. I know just enough computer stuff to be very dangerous.

I think the problems start with the length of the HDMI cables. Not sure, but I think more then 10ft is a stretch.
