Kind of depends on whether you need the traits or not. In our area they aren't needed very much.

If it is not corn on corn or it is a historically clean field we usually run non gmo. Kind of nice to tell Monsanto to F.O. All non gmo beans here too. The 2 to 3 buck premium is very nice.

I plant some non GMO corn. I havent seen that it is any better or worse than some of the super duper triple stack stuff I plant.

I walked a dairy farmer's corn yesterday. He "saved" money by planting non-Bt corn this year. The bugs had a real picnic in his corn.
Given the corn prices, he'd have made a lot of money if he had not decided to "save" money.

I've been planting 1 field to NGMO corn the last few yrs.It does as well as the VT3 corn that I planted around the perimeter of the field.I put it in silo as high moisture corn for cattle feed.I don't know if it is better feed or not but the coons walked by 36 end rows of VT3 corn to get to it.
I also bale the stalks for bedding and the NGMO stalks are drier in fall then the VT3 corn.
$100 a bag vs $250
