If you were looking to get a gently used disc/ripper, what would you get and why?
Our old Sunflower is shot and not sure we'd get another, rebuilding would cost more than it's worth.
Looking for 7-shank 30" spacing...disc/disc-ripper with some sort of leveling device out back.

krause Dominator looks like the best one out there right now. I don't have one myself have a few neighbors using them the ground looks real mellow and it leaves the ground real level and smooth. That's my 2 cents worth and that's all that info is worth

I bought a used Krause Dominator in the fall of 2009. Like the way it leaves the soil. They pull hard because they have an 18" shank spacing. Most in this area are set up with the back row of shanks running 4 inches shallower than the lead shanks to make it easier to pull and easier to fracture some of the ground deep.
The other popular chisel plow in this area is the 800 series? (875?) Case IH chisel.

I've got a Sunflower and would probably look at another one if I was in the market. Haven't seen anything built by Sunflower that wasn't built really well.
