Im new to crop insurance and I do plan on talking to my agent. My question is, if im going to haul all my grain to town and sell at harvest, will my recoreds from the elevator( scale tickets, settlement sheets) be enough, or am I going to have to leave some rows out in the field? I was under the impersion the paper work would be enough, but i have been hearing otherwise from people who are putting in it the bin. Flame away....

You don't need to leave strips. Just haul it to town and present the ledger sheets from each field whether you have a loss or not. If you have a loss the adjuster will work it up for you. If you don't have a loss they need that info to determine you APH for next year.
