Finally received a decent rain today...1 inch. Should help the soybeans fill a few more pods. I'm afraid the corn is what it is, too late for rain to help much.

I know the feeling they were saying how much rain our county had gotten the last 2 months the asshole forget that there is a southern and western part to the county the rain all came to the North and east corner of the county there is usually a 10 inch difference or more every yr from the NorthEast part of the county to the southwest

Heavy showers came through here last night too. My gauge had a little less than 1/10" in it this morning. Someone's getting it but not here! Sure can't do anything about it.

Rained a whole tenth here. We're not in drought stress yet. Rolled up a lot of hay today. Word is that hay prices will be strong this winter.

Dman Duke was the spounge, his area got 3-4" so the storm was losing strength by the time it got here.
Glowplug hay is already in demand, buyers are paying $90 a ton for straw right off the field.
Another feed mill got locked up by its bankers near here yesterday. Loose credit killed him. Larry

Yup, I had not cut this section of canarygrass marsh for a couple years. Figured there'd be a payback for my fuel, machinery wear-tear, and labor. Well, the baler puked a roller chain yesterday. Before that it was $160 in parts. So I hope there's a profit in hay after the implement dealer gets his profits. Nice of me to share, I guess.
