The life of YG RW proven in lab studies is the number one reason that Monsanto paid Dow to use Hx RW. There was going to be ever increasing resistance developing even if producers planted the refuge as intended.
Yes, Hx RW is a tougher trait to integrate into corn hybrids without a yield drag. It has been suggested that about 40% of the inbreds don't like this trait. Not a problem as long as the seed companies do their research in their plots rather than in their customer's fields.

Oh yeah, almost forgot to congrat. jabbers Big P company for finally getting a 5% refuge in the bag program, but that's for 2012. Little M had it for planting in 2011.
One of these days, not too far in the future, Big P will become Little P as other seed companies leave it back in the dust........
Not to worry much longer about having HX hold back excellent hybrids from being SmartStax. A different, brand new Bt. is on the way.
And Big P's promised Optimum Gatttttttastrophy is history as I said it would be......
